My Not So Perfect Cinderella Story | Gender Reveal
"It is vital that when educating our children's brains that we do not neglect to educate their hearts." -Dalai Lama
When I was a little girl, I used to wonder what my life would be like when older…
I always knew I was meant to be an artist, but I was never able to imagine who will be my prince charming. I dreamed of the perfect Cinderella story, which included owning the crystal shoes, plus having a few offsprings.
Today I sit here reminiscing on the past because I would’ve never thought that life would be so good to me, in so many ways.
I can't say all in my life is sparkly & perfect. There has been been ups & downs, left and right turns, but I now have more than what I could’ve ever imagined.
I’ve allowed myself to fully express my natural talents in the creative arts field. I have found my prince charming. I have yet to find those Cinderella crystal shoes, but I am carrying my first offspring!
What more can I ask for if all I ever wanted was to experience true love. And here I am today, filled with an immense joy because I’m about to experience the greatest love of all.
I’m in the process of becoming a mother!
A few months from now my life will never, ever be the same and I am ready for that change. Although I must confess, the nature of my purest form does fear the unknown. But the unconditional, eternal love I already feel for this child of mine overrides any concern that may arise at times.
Today is a special day; Today, I get to share with the world my biggest blessing of all.
I will tell you what my prince charming and I are expecting.
But first, let me give you some background information on how it all happened…
I had been wanting to know the gender of our soon to be firstborn since the beginning of my pregnancy. It seemed so exciting to me knowing what we are having so I can finally start planning accordingly. Of course, the planning still started even without the knowing, but I truly couldn't wait to just know the sex of our baby!
One day this brilliant idea came to me & after sharing it with my partner, we both agreed that it would be so nice and such a unique experience if we found out the sex of the baby on his actual birthday!
So, we booked an appointment and went to an ultrasound’s place here in Miami, Florida on his birth date. It was an unforgettable day, brimming with amusement and uncertainty.
His mom & my grandma accompanied us, we were all so excited to share this moment together. The visit was supposed to be a 15 minute appointment, but we ended up being in there for about 25 minutes! The technician had a hard time figuring out the sex of our baby, since our blessing wasn’t collaborating with us.
Twenty-five minutes of desperation, ha!
Thank you little one!
At one point, the specialist decided to give us a hint and he was like.. I think it’s… this!
His mom was face-timing my sister-in-law, I was face-timing my mom and we were all like…
But right when the celebration began, the technician stopped us and was like…
“Calm down, I said I think. I rather be sure.”
And… After those long 25 minutes, he confirmed the sex of our little one!
“It… Is… A…”
It’s a GIRL!!!!
We are having a baby girl!
We were all thrilled with the reveal.
Dear amazing little human being that we’ve conceived, mommy & daddy cannot wait to meet you and share our lives with you till eternity. We are beyond happy and ready to begin this new journey in our lives. To finally recreate our own, not so perfect, sparkly Cinderella story.
When we found out the gender of our little one, my prince charming and I put together an enchanting video that we cherish & shared with our family members.
I want to share it on here as well because it is so beautiful and we enjoyed doing it so much. We want this work of art to serve as another amazing & wonderful memory for our baby girl.
In the video below you will find a narration of how we found out the sex of our baby. Within it, you will find our dedicated masterpiece.
